DePaul/Sinai’s Chicago Gun Violence Research Collaborative

The Chicago Gun Violence Research Collaborative’s call for student fellows. Since 2017, the Chicago Gun Violence Research Collaborative Fellowship Program has supported graduate students who want to positively affect change that reduces gun violence. We have had at least one Loyola MPH student participate in the past.

This year, the fellowship will run from October – February and be facilitated via distance technology. The fellowship is open to graduate students who:

•Come from an academic background related to violence or it’s risk and protective factors (public health, medicine, the behavioral sciences, health or social services, etc.)

•Are enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and have taken 12 graduate credits

•Are in good academic standing

Health Equity & Social Justice Conference 2020 - Call for Abstracts

HESJ 2020 will take place virtually on Friday, November 6th. 

HESJ 2020 will focus on the Chicago public health/health care community’s response to current events, primarily the pandemic and racial justice. The conference planning committee will give priority to abstracts for skill-building workshops and roundtable discussions from community partners and community-based organizations. Our intent is to use the conference to bring together community voices, share best practices, and provide a forum for organizations in the Chicagoland area to engage in lively, solution-oriented discussions at a time when many of us are separated by remote work. Please join us!

We are now accepting submissions for:​

1. Skill-Building Workshops (90 minutes)

2. Roundtable Discussions (90 minutes)

3. Oral Presentations (20 minutes)

4. Poster Presentations (5 minute pre-recorded presentations)
