The Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program at the University of Chicago performs over 200 autologous and allogeneic transplants a year, making it one of the largest programs in Chicago and the region. The program has experienced dynamic growth and provides patients many unique treatment options, such as outpatient transplant and haplo-cord transplant, as well as a variety of cutting edge clinical trials. The program is fully accredited by the Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT).
Unit Job Summary
The Quality Analyst is responsible for assisting the Transplant Quality and Compliance Manager with monitoring and improving the quality of transplant care provided at the University of Chicago, as well as ensuring compliance with all FDA, FACT and Joint Commission standards. This is achieved through effective policy administration, careful evaluation of compliance standards, and the use of change management and performance improvement strategies. Helps manage the design, development, coordination and continuous improvement of all clinical quality improvement initiatives and structures systems for the Transplant Program in a manner that supports achievement of quality goals. Tasked with responding to regulatory and clinical queries, and collecting and presenting data from various internal and external sources. Essential functions also include management of risk and promoting patient safety as top programmatic priorities. Audit systems and personnel within the Transplant Program, providing feedback to the Transplant Program Director, Transplant Administrator, and Transplant Quality and Compliance Manager.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Business or a related field required.
- Advanced degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Business or a related field preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of two years of regulatory compliance experience required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in stem cell transplantation and unrelated donor procurement required.
- Prior experience in quality tracking, measurement and improvement methodologies required.
- Quality certification such as CPHQ; or commensurate education/certificate required.
Supervisory experience preferred.
