Position Summary
AFHK is seeking a detail-oriented Research and Program Evaluation Intern to assist with various scientific literature and data projects across the organization. The ideal candidate will exhibit high-level interest and skill in the organization and synthetization of published literature and articles as well as analyzing quantitative data and contributing to the reporting and interpretation of findings. The  Research and Program Evaluation Intern will also gain insight on evaluation methods and gain exposure to the intersection of published works and its application to the real world.

Responsibilities

  • Stay “in the know” on all the latest and greatest children’s health research, literature and news.
  •  Systematically organize and centralize existing literature relevant to organization programs and practices for communications, fundraising and programmatic use
  • Conducts descriptive data analyses of programmatic data
  • Assist in the preparation of reports to funding agencies
  • Performs other related projects and activities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
  • Proficient in literature databases such as PubMed, ERIC, Web of Science, etc.
  • Experience with online data collection tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as a member of a team under minimal supervision
