This year, SOPHE is providing $400 scholarships to support students and public health education practitioners to participate in SOPHE’s Virtual Advocacy Summit, October 13-14, 2020. The Virtual Summit will focus on the effects of climate change on health and how public health professionals can use advocacy skills in three specialized tracts: The Effects of Climate Change on Health; Advocacy Skill-Building; Incorporating Advocacy in the Classroom. The 21st Century Scholarships provide financial reimbursement for the Summit and encourage funds to be used for supplemental SOPHE chapter membership. Deadline for scholarship applications: August 31, 2020.
21st Century Student Scholarship: Fourteen (14) scholarships of $400 will be awarded to participate in the Virtual Advocacy Summit.
21st Century Practitioner Scholarship: Six (6) scholarships of $400 will be awarded to participate in the Virtual Advocacy Summit.
