Opportunities with the Greater Chicago Food Depository



The Greater Chicago Food Depository is currently recruiting for new team members!

·         HungerAction Corps: Hunger Action Corps is an AmeriCorps program that engages and cultivates social justice leaders who want to enhance their leadership skills while connecting our neighbors to resources to create stronger, healthier communities. The Food Depository is currently recruiting the next cohort to serve in the Hunger Action Corps! See attached flyer for more details and to apply. There are full time and part time assignments supporting:
o   Food access
o   Youth, older adults and veterans’ programs
o   Health and nutrition initiatives
o   Chicago’s Community Kitchens
o   SNAP Outreach
o   Youth volunteer initiatives
·         Seasonal Support - Children’s Program Assistant (Temporary): Summer is a difficult time for our families and children. During this time, feeding children in our community becomes especially important, because those receiving free and reduced-price school meals lose an important source of food. Our Children’s Program Assistants (temporary) will provide administrative, technical and outreach support for the summer meals program to help ensure children throughout Cook County have access to nutritious meals while school is not in session.
