Under the general guidance of the Executive Director of IPSSJ, the Administrative Director for the IL Coalition for Higher Education in Prison (IL-CHEP) will provide administrative support, project coordination and oversight to IL-CHEP committees. In collaboration with the committees, the Administrative Director will work on different initiatives to support educators and students in and outside of prisons in the state. In collaboration with IL-CHEP’s Steering Committee, the Administrative Director will develop and implement systems and policies related to IL-CHEP’s financial management, budgeting, reporting, etc.
The Administrative Director provides leadership to IL-CHEP and to the university while leveraging industry knowledge and best practices to promote the mission and vision of IL-CHEP, and of Adler’s Institute of Public Safety and Social Justice Department. The Administrative Director also supports relevant culture, development and management efforts.
