CDC Fellowship Opportunities

Greetings from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Division of Scientific Education and Professional Development! Our mission is to improve health outcomes through a competent, sustainable, and empowered public health workforce. We are reaching out to you about possible opportunities for hands-on learning through fellowships at CDC that you may be or may become eligible for.
Our Public Health Informatics Fellowship Program (PHIFP) is open to doctoral or masters level scientists in public health, epi, informatics, or other related disciplines. For more information:
Our Laboratory Leadership Service Fellowship (LLS) is open to doctoral-level scientists in a lab-related discipline.
Our Prevention Effectiveness Fellowship Program (PE) is open to doctoral level decision scientists in public policy, policy analysis, health related sciences and more.
If you have or are working towards a degree in healthcare, we will also point out that our Epidemiology Elective Program (EEP) is open to medical students. Our Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Fellowship and Preventive Medicine Residency and Fellowship (PMR/F) are open to those who may already hold degrees in healthcare professions.
All these fellowships provide an opportunity for a broad range of experiences such as training in applied epidemiology, mentorship with subject experts, and work in population health and health promotion. Please visits the links above for more detailed information about each fellowship program.
