Program Manager - Planning, Training, and Capacity Initiatives

The Program Manager will lead the implementation of community health assessment and improvement planning consultation services, training, and capacity-building projects within the Center for Community Capacity Development (CCCD). The position will develop proposals, support program operations, coordinate with partners and customers on implementation, facilitate collaborative planning and work with the center director to implement strategic support to build public health system capacity to improve health and increase health equity. Projects managed by this position involve state and local health departments, hospitals and other non-profit organizations with state/community health assessments, health improvement plans, strategic planning, PHAB (public health accreditation) readiness, quality improvement projects through learning collaboratives, Project ECHO series, conferences and meetings, and technical assistance.

 

Program Manager – Alliance for Health Equity

This new Program Manager position for the Alliance for Health Equity will manage projects and initiatives related to several areas of the Alliance’s work including (a) food access and (b) health equity in all policies. The program manager will also support some aspects of the county-wide Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and technical assistance to hospitals on community health improvement planning. The Alliance for Health Equity’s work covers a range of topics related to social and structural determinants as well as mental health and substance use disorders, and program managers often work across several topic areas. This program manager will work very closely with three other program managers on the Alliance for Health Equity team as well as the full CCCD team, and will report to the Program Director for the Alliance. The program manager should have experience working in communities most impacted by health inequities in Chicago and Cook County, experience and interest in healthy food programs and local food systems, and strong commitment to health and racial equity.

 

Program Associate – Alliance for Health Equity

The Program Associate will work with Alliance for Health Equity committees and workgroups, related partnerships on housing, food access, and/or mental health, and a healthcare collaborative for suburban Cook County. The Program Associate will report to one of the program directors in the Alliance for Health Equity and will also work with multiple program managers in the Alliance. The Program Associate should have experience working in communities most impacted by health inequities and strong commitment to health and racial equity and addressing the systemic factors that produce health inequities and health disparities.

 

Communications Manager

The communications manager will play a critical role in ensuring IPHI communicates the mission, vision, values, and impact of the organization and its programs. In a collaborative partnership with, and under the supervision of, the director of communications, the communications manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications initiatives and tactics to advance IPHI’s brand and narrative as a leading innovator in public health, research, policy, partnerships, and data sharing in the national conversation for health equity. This position will create policies, plans, and oversee the execution of communications projects and products. The manager will drive action to improve health in communities in Illinois and across the nation through health messaging and strategic communications.

 

Program Manager – Breastfeeding & Nutrition Initiatives

This position will work with the Program Director and IPHI team, partners, and communities to lead strategic execution of program goals that promote sustainable changes to improve nutrition and breastfeeding support and equity for Illinois families. Main initiatives include implementing multiple year-long learning collaboratives that foster transformational change in breastfeeding support and equity, and supporting workforce development (trainings, resources) around lactation support for a variety of sectors.

 

Program Manager – Chicago CARES

In collaboration with the Program Director, the Program Manager will lead the strategic execution of the Chicago CARES program goals and set priorities for program operations focused on monitoring and managing the National Diabetes Prevention Program priorities and timelines in collaboration with our partners and contractors, while maintaining a global project perspective on the interconnectedness between the DPP and other project strategies.

 

Administrative Assistant – DASH

The Administrative Assistant works at the intersection of IPHI’s administrative and program processes to facilitate the movement of information for decision-making and action. In collaboration with finance, communications, program staff, and program stakeholders; the Assistant provides efficient and effective support to meetings and events, grant-making activities, and communications activities. This team member will also steward the center’s data entry, data report generation, and on-going use of our client relationship management system, Salesforce.

 

Program Associate

The Program Associate position will be assigned to one of IPHI’s three centers: the Center for Community Capacity Development (CCCD), the Center for Health Information Sharing and Innovation(CHISI), or the Center for Policy and Partnership Initiatives (CPPI).  Project work may include coordinating workgroups; writing and editing reports; quantitative and qualitative data analysis; stakeholder-engaged assessments or strategic planning; policy analysis; training content development; meeting and event coordination; database management; grant writing; and communications initiatives.

 

Director, Center for Health Information Sharing and Innovation

The new director for the Center for Health Information Sharing and Innovation (formerly the Center for Health and Information Technology) will will lead a dedicated team in the deepening and refinement of the Center’s work. This includes collaborative leadership and oversight of the DASH initiative, sustainability planning with key partners, and the development of future lines of work in alignment with the Center’s goals and core focus.
